Windows works just fine with it off. I actually had photo editing software issues and the fix recommended was, turn off secure boot. I don't know why...I'm not into coding. I'm all for anti-cheat measures...no issues at all with that. I'm not for requiring BIOS changes on our end to be part of those measures. They can bake those into the game itself. There's even plenty of feedback already that secure boot hasn't stopped the cheaters. My decision not to give them my money is solely on the issue of the BIOS secure boot. Should they go another route and bake it into the game or have a third party software running to prevent cheating, I'll be a customer.

Thats interesting. I rarely have any issues with software and have had secure boot on since I built my computer, in 2021. So I would have to say, more often then not, it doesn't screw with any third party software at all. Since I have had zero issues in four years and my computer is chalk full of all kinds of third party software.

And that is your prerogative to not buy the game because of it causing an issue with that one photo editing software you use. Can I get the name of it? To make sure I never try to use it of course. I would love to look up what the issue was, not that I don't believe you.

Would you be willing to have an anti-cheat like Vanguard that boots up every time you run your computer, even if you have zero plans to play a game? Just wondering because that is MUCH more invasive then secure boot.

Ok, that is the description that is wrong. How this works so that we don't get 40 dwarfs into the dungeon is that the level of the creatures increase even more to account for the dwarfs that don't get spawned.

How many militaries / special forces in the world today issue brass knuckles to their operatives vs. some kind of knife or bayonet or some such. If a special forces operative could bring a combat knife or a set of brass knuckles, but not both, what do you think they would bring?
