I do not remember how much metitions were applied, but certainly more than 1. I detected bad thoughts because of praying in not specialized temple, so I made temples for gods who have many worshippers and 6*6 shrines with alatar and statue for everyone else, who had at least 5 worshippers.

see, what youre relaying doesnt read like your fort NEEDED all those separate temples, even though i do think having the personal preference to want less deity generation per entity is perfectly reasonable. i have made separate temples for Cults on petition, but those are different than specialized temples for different gods. I'd encourage you to not get too hung up on the worship stuff during your gameplay for now. making A LOT of clothing (like 2x your popsize of every type of basic garment) does more to suit happiness needs and will get+keep your dwarves happier than having them build a bunch of random temples everywhere beforehand. If you didnt have your dwarves in totally brand new rope reed/pig tail head-to-toe pimpery, then you probably didnt need to be thinking about all of those temples.

and what to try "rn":
im saying its something that MAY be possible right now to do, but am unsure. you'd basically just want to put a hard limit the # of deities per entity but i dont have that immediate knowledge on hand. lua scripting can touch a lot but I dont know what it can limit, so if youre stuck with the default deities generation and cant "undo it" then youre hosed for now. You need to go into something with the lua I imagine cuz that handles procedural generation, and edit the deity generation to your preference (so maybe for fun limit each entity type to 3 gods maximum (i dont know if all the different civilizations of a species share gods or not, i think they do?)).
theres stuff I'd like to mess with as well regarding worldgen but I'm not sure if the modding capabilities are quite there yet for what we'd like to do. but, lua procedural generation to mess with entity deity generation is definitely the idea here. that way you can just make a mod and itll "mess with the raws for you" so that youre not making any changes to your base game somewhere weird.

I've already used modding to mess with how secrets work so that i could put a bit of a nerf on necromancers. i followed the "dead end paths to immortality" mod as an example, but then with the assistance of DeepSeek added my own secrets to the mod. so im not 100% in the blind on all of this. i did out of curiosity just look through vanilla_procedural and vanilla_entity to kind of get an idea, but i can't say anything jumped out at me

I think people are here just for banana drops and probably for the achievements :)

I don't have an executioner. i have no idea where it's coming from. it's mostly argenta doing it with her bolter. but ive seen other characters doing it, too. none of them are wearing equipment that should be causing it. is it something to do with crits? almost my whole party is built for crits. it's very stupid if so. i have a shotgun on my arbites and he's lighting people on fire, too.

I was climbing up the tropics on tenderfoot with Bing Bong, and i saw some weird red particles floating arround in a big area. they don't seem to do anything, does anyone know what they mean? THey appear on consecutive playthroughts

I've finished the game and now just polishing it to be 100% complete, but... I've got all upgrades for shield and melee weapons and I don't get the Berserker achievement. And what is weird... is that Dreadmace has only 2 possible upgrades, while other melees have 3. Am I missing something?
