Instead of arguing about the Chinese guy being in lore, lets have a Dev answer. Why have they not chimed in yet? As an Asian (Korean) person, my opinion is that they are catering to the Chinese audience for some reason. Didn't Blizzard do the same thing with that World of Warcraft expansion called Panderia or something?

Devs, instead of watching people battle each other here, why won't you just answer truthfully about this? Did you think it would cause a backlash of sorts, is it lore or is it virtue signalling? I personally don't care but it is weird. It is about as weird as throwing in a Navy Seal in this game.

The banishing system is that you start a new save file and only unlock the good items. Don't win a run with Captain so your shop isn't polluted with Captain's Sword etc. So many of the unlockables are just junk with horrible designs (hatchet, grenade launcher, lighthouse..)

What's your longest endless run? If you're being affected by curse making enemies stronger it probably means a gap in your build that you could improve. Get more damage and overcome it!

Why the ♥♥♥♥ do you care about my endless run? Did i ever mention something about endless? I think not. The devs screwed the game theres no denying it. Im not a endless person i only like playing until wave 20 and trying out other characters and playing them with different weapons. Curse just sucks its unbalanced and it either makes your game too hard or too easy. The whole game is balanced around this stat thats whats annoying me.

That's fine, I get that point of view too. I'm playing a lot of Streamer lately - sometimes I go to endless, sometimes I stop around 20 and just try to get the most jacked build I can by that point.

The reason I ask is.. playing endless is a great way to practice making your build as strong as possible *as early as possible*. The first 20 waves are like the runway before you take off and start flying, so you want to build up as much as you can while stuff is cheap and enemies are weak. If curse is stopping you in the first 20 waves it's a sign your build could just be stronger and overcome that, in my experience.

Try the new save file thing if you haven't done it before. You can unlock all the strong items in like 10 runs if you line things up the right way. It makes a big difference in the shop, you can actually find hunting trophy again sometimes :}
