Using a guide is no better. I've beaten Hexen without ever looking up any help whatsoever.

Yeah the MR system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. It serves no real purpose other than slowing progression.

Well, Generations Ultimate has been just as much of a breeze to play through low/high rank as Wilds was, 3U gave me some trouble but anything will if you run it on an emulator that has less FPS than a powerpoint presentation whenever you set foot in the Flooded Forest. gen1 fair enough but having to get used to attacking with a joystick instead of the control scheme I got used to was a big part of that.

I don't expect to reach everyone. I only hope my words help those who could do with a shift in perspective. Fear not the L or a drop in rank, LPs, floors, or whatever it is the folks these days use to indicate "skill.". Remember it is the game that you're here to play, not the systems that facilitate its play.

I literally just spent an hour trying to convince my friends to try it based on the story alone. I bought it for the survival crafting but I'm all about the story now. I don't think the game has much replayability, when one of my Alters died due to bad choices and I restarted I did not enjoy doing everything over again, but that could be a me issue.
