Hey modding is awesome. I don't use overhauls, and I'll admit I have one cosmetic mod. The rest are all QOL and additional content for example: The massive mod the adds Izzy's guns AND the tarkovguns, food, and meds system. I also have many mods that add in items for building and decorating. A custom UI. a mod that sorts storage automatically,a mod that stops fuel consumption if nothing is being produced, or a mod that allows you to collect various deorations and items from POI's and so on and son,
I don't use the OP vehicles or weapons.

I agree with Jawoodle though, I think the badges would benefit from a cosmetic change I.e. radiation suit, thermals clothes, cooling garb, gas mask, instead of badges. I'd like to remove the "wait x amount time" and replace it with a unique, scaling difficulty mission tailored to the biome.
I'm sure it is. I've yet to find a game that I didn't enjoy more with mods (or, at least, the right mods; there are a shocking number of mods who's sole purpose is to make the game unplayable.
Most modders have a good awareness of what makes games fun, and add to that (and the ones that don't make themselves obvious before you even download). Me adding cosmetics was less as a putdown to them, and more of a "they aren't relevant to me" (I assure you, if my playgroup ever does modded, I'm going to get bullied into adding a small horde of cosmetic options).
What mods people download are, of course, up to them; as long as you aren't hurting others, there's not really a point in worrying about it; every mod is made with a market in mind.

I wouldn't mind a cosmetic change to badges, but I'll admit, I'm not sure how you'd implement that with the new system that lets you pick different armor to get stats from and which ones to look like you're wearing. Gaming "fashionistas" (for lack of a better term) are surprisingly aggressive about anything they don't deem to the aesthetic they want, and might take up issue if you try to cover up their chosen outfit. And, it might be confusing for new players who now have to mentally separate their stats gear, their visual gear, and the badge gear. Especially if they try changing gear prior, only to now have this gear slide over their equipped setup.

I'm interested in what you had in mind for the missions you'd replace the "live x minutes" with.

As for the badges, I mean more replacing the little badge symbol with the relevant "equipment" symbol. That's what I meant by a cosmetic change. I don't think it should appear on the character model, just replace the badge symbol.

Okay so we remove the "spend x time" and then maybe add a biome specific special infected "boss" that must be defeated, you then bring the remains to the trader to prove you've removed the threat. This boss could be in specialized POIs Like maybe one of them is a "police chief" in a special prison/police precinct for example. You have to fend off the biome effects, storms, and defeat the boss. (In addition to the other badge requirements.)
