The point is the game using specific terms when they are entirely unnecessary to a ridiculous extent. "the lex" being the main example. You could simply use normal words and half the arbitrator voice lines wouldnt sound as stupid.

currently the farmhouse rework has crashed my game twice and for a friend i play with once.
also the lighthouse seems to crash my friend when he plays on Xbox
any information on this would be lovely.

Well done OP, this is the correct attitude to have. It's fine to be excited, even fine to be disappointed, but just keep waiting and you'll get the update in the end. What's not OK is flying off the handlebars and going full-blown toxic Karen like some around here are doing.

You are very enticed to create a air compressor, particularly for better batteries. At some point you need to consider if your curiosity is not sufficient enough to explore your options.

Play styles differ from one player to another, my experience and those of the other commenters are enough to prove that.

My point is that requiring items that are not indispensable for the completion of the game is a weird choice especially with how grindy some resources are, you can't expect people to go ahead and try to craft everything even when not needed.

Even weirder is the fact that having the recipe doesn't render the item "discovered"

Recently me and a few homies were talking about hosting SND matches in custom games on some of the older titles. Tonight at 10:00pm we will be having a custom match on (Call of duty WAW), any weapon, mic would be appreciated but don't need one, just come have fun! (9 more slots open for this match).

1) He/she may not have stayed on the planet very long.
2) Some fauna/flora/minerals are somewhat hard to find...some incredibly difficult to find.

Renaming things isn't on everyone's priority list. If you discover something by scanning it, it takes a few seconds. In order to rename something, you have to go into the menus, find the discovery, click to rename, type in the name, submit it...and hope something doesn't attack you during the process. I'd venture to guess that most people who have played for any length of time haven't bothered naming everything on a planet unless they plan to stay a while. In the early-game, those nanites and units you get as rewards are important, but in late game, not so much.

The game can be configured to play multi-player, and I believe it does start that way by default. You COULD see another player. However, unless you're looking for one, odds are slim that you actually saw one. Those are probably NPC's. Pro-tip: If you follow them, they will lead you to a point of interest. However, they AREN'T just ambient effects. If you shoot one, it will shoot back. And it may call in friends. And it will NOT give up until one of you is dead.
