Well from your post you did not say you had seen them as you even questioned whether the branch was permanent or temporary!!!!! Temporary is just that, doesn't matter if you think it's too vague or not, one thing I've learnt when playing this game and the devs, they never give a time frame or date for anything, until just before the event is due to happen. Personally I'm not bothered or precious about a save game, I tend to make a local copy, which allows me to continue playing my save file so any updates to either the base game or scenario don't have an effect on my current save.

I can get if you're just that hard adapted to it, but as a guy who has played every game with both the native controls and VanLaser's control mod for 1-Silent Line...

It's not even a contest, being able to smoothly move, aim and turn with the sticks and not relying on the face buttons to both boost hop and fire a gun is just a massive improvement.

It's chapter 13, the part when you reunite with Cesare and a car chase starts. If you reload a checkpoint during the chase, you have no pistol anymore and thus cannot shoot while driving.
