The baiting the never ends.

This is all common sense for anyone who has existed on earth. You've likely used a faucet. Seen a waterfall. Maybe you've even been pulled down a stream, creek, river. Gravity works through walls. Sand is very lightweight. You are not. Sand is made of small particles. It can flow through doors, and open roofs. As a current flows down a stream, you can get caught in the flow, despite being heavier and more massive than the individual particles of water (or sand). I'm truly sorry this doesn't make sense for you in particular, it makes sense for almost every other player. This is common sense stuff and you don't have it, that must be horrible.
I'm not sure why you're being so rude about this, it's commonly known to be the hardest and worst puzzle in the game.

Like I said, the developer apologized for it.

For example, I understand how sand flows in general.

But now consider this. You're in a small room with two entrances. A small door, and a hole in the roof.

The room is mostly clear of sand.

Suddenly a giant pillar of sand all flowing upwards enters the room from above. How does this work? Does the sand decide to flow sideways through the door for some reason before turning to go upwards? Does the sand fall down from the sky before going back up?

I'm fine with it as a game mechanic, but it certainly doesn't make much physical sense. And for that matter, if gravity is pulling the sand up, why does a roof make a difference for you? And how can you stand on a pad? You should be weightless.

Again, I have no idea why you're being so hostile about this. Everyone else is being polite about it.

And I'm not sure why you'd conclude every other player of this game is 'baiting' you. This is known to be a tricky puzzle. That's why it's the last puzzle in the game.

At 41m43s or so you can find the dev mentioning it

Like I said, I looked it up because I realized I knew exactly what to do and had absolutely no idea how to do it with the hints and mechanics given. And it remains the one solution that you just kinda...do without anyone really having a great reasoning for why it works.
"Every other player of the game." This is the reason for the hostility. In this very thread, many players have come forward to express how this wasn't difficult and they simply walked onto the pad. Yet you are making gross generalizations to the playerbase.

It's clear you don't know how air/water/anything flows. The smaller the passageway, the greater the pressure drop, the higher the flow velocity. It is a vacuum, created by gravity. You are being pulled out of the building due to the flow of sand, due to this vacuum, and due to the gravity pulling on everything to create it. It's fine if you don't understand how it works, but blaming the devs for your ignorance is silly.

In the buildings that are sealed with roofs, this flow cannot exist, the flow is plugged, the sand does not enter the building, and thus you don't fly to the ceiling, because you are not trapped in this current of sand. The Ember gravity is still acting on you, but it only minorly negates some of the gravity of Ash.

You looked it up because you had "absolutely no idea how to" use the warp pad? So, you didn't even try it, didn't experiment at all, just looked up the solution and didn't like it. Gotcha,
