Mineable surface deposits do not come back, at least not over any feasible interval of the player's lifetime, However, if you mine them with Automated Mining Units, they never actually diminish. So plant your Auto-miner(s) (5 max on a deposit) and Teleporter mini-base alongside, and enjoy infinite Copper/MagFerr/Quartzite, whatever.

Harvestable plants DO come back, not that there ever seems to be any shortage.

Curious Deposits immediately respawn once you get out of their region. Easiest way to farm is to build a Teleporter mini-base just down slope, with corral fences / walls out as catchment wings to either side of the fall line of the slope. Then do the same on another CD site, half a world or half a galaxy away. Teleport back and forth between them until you have all the Runaway Mould you can carry. Then go to base or freighter with a very large number of Large Refiners.

You are correct that too many bases is a fools game. I think that you are only allowed 400 + 1 freighter, anyway. Go back and close small bases you don't need any more. You can Teleport there from any Teleporter, eliminate the base, fly to the local Space Station, teleport home. Regardless of distance.

One place you may want to place a BC for awhile, but eliminate later is Manufacturing Centers. The Factory terminal resets after a reasonable time (maybe couple weeks of game time). So, while you are building out your collection of MTs, easy-to-reach Factories are a way to score a number of MT Slot Expansions.

Once all your desired MTs are maxxed up, or you have enough stored up Expanders to choke a worm, start going back and removing the Factory Base Computers.

My VAC bans are over 1400 days ago and people still think im hacking. VAC bans =/= someone actively hacking. You need proof, otherwise you just have assumptions.
