It would make sense to start early with melee being slightly more prominent with pikes, heavy cavalry etc, flesh out the battle mechanics before then going on through the period until maybe revisiting the ACW after a few titles.

Okay, I was able to pin point the cause by removing every mod till one left, so seems like it caused by Bigger Vac Barriers mod.
