it's almost certainly not deleting assets it can use. the main case where this will happen is when the assets fail a check for their integrity, ie when they are corrupted or otherwise unreadable for some reason. This can happen during the download phase (eg enough bits are dropped that the data is corrupted) or it can happen during storage (eg it is stored on a hard disk that has partially demagnetised or in a dying sector of an ssd).

the client doesn't have "randomly delete ♥♥♥♥" functionality, because... well, you'd not want to code that. What it does have are integrity checks to make sure the data hasn't changed or been corrupted, for both functionality and fairness.

Now, MTG:A does seem to be.... overzealous in these checks somehow, or maybe just not very good at checking for dropped packets when it's actually delivering the data. But since this doesn't happen to everyone, it's not a fundamental fact of the client - meaning if you want to fix this, you should be investigating *why your data keeps failing integrity checks*.

Destined Conquerors (+30 unsellable grievance against everyone) isn't even the ultimate (the ultimate is the last of the razing boosts), but since the option that requires starting wars is specifically the Chaos vision, I think it was probably designed with that in mind. I suppose you *could* still pick it while not actually pursuing Chaos with your empire, but why?

I was lucky in my current playthrough and got the intrigue event with the regent, which gives you a large grievance against the usurper. The second one was just the usual insults and province stuff, maybe some trespassing? I actually got a third major justification before Destined Conquerors but didn't declare it immediately because I was still fighting the second guy and his Defensive Pact partner. But I'm pretty sure that's the fallback plan, if you can't start your wars before then.

Same here. None of them are progressing. They're going to revoke stuff anyway, so I don't see much point progressing at the present.

Reducing the view distance seems to alleviate the crashiness a bit. At about half way the game actually loads, but crashes after walking just a few meters. Reducing the view distance further, like to absolute minimum, allows it to run a bit longer, but it still crashes after about a minute or two of trying to play the game.

I see this as an absolute win.

I had no idea you can enable manual saving... i'm not sure what changed but so far the game seems more balanced towards "don't worry about loosing few soldirs".

I bought the game to support the devs and am really looking forward to playing it at version 1.0. Can you please add totalisation of statistics, similar to Songs of Conquest which tracks the total stats for all the completed games (number of enemies killed, battles played, won and lost etc)? I'm a numbers nut and I would love that.

Also have lots of furniture for them to "enjoy". Place chairs, benches, and tables. Try to make it look interactive by placing a radio, a campfire, cooking pot. At least NPCs will gather where there is place for them to sit and "eat", lest they just stand in your settlement looking catatonic and easy target practice.

Agreed, my settlers always sleep/congregate on ground level right at the entrance to whatever I build. I find that when the first turret triggers during an attack, they are all alerted and rushing to the entrance to defend, blocking the filth trying to rush inside to get to my stuff.
