Just got my Torment V run with Dark Mark + Judgement start and spamming Builder + Sharp cards until I could get Living Shadow. That, plus RNG meaning Lust didn't suffer the slowdown bug. Add to that a judicious use of Hellfire Grenade, Dark Mark, and more tactical use of Petrify.

2nd paragraph is a key thing to remember in relation to all Civ games, they were originally based on a board game, so not really a simulation at heart.

This is the false catch-all excuse made for every bit of nonsense in this game, I am starting to see. "It was based on a board game!" It was not based on the Civilization board game of 1980. That was a heavy influence, just like Sim City and Populous were to Sid Meier. Video games are not bounded or limited by board games; this game can do anything it wants and there are plenty of things in it that didn't exist in that game. That is just a weak excuse for bad game development decisions.

There is, for every perk. The game respects the player enough to allow them to make bad decisions and ruin their experience however they see fit. I think there are certain types of players who are used to being led everywhere. And unfortunately, any mechanic that deviates from that tendency is criticized.

But there's also an adult segment that knows what to activate, how, and when. And in case of accidentent, theres a lot of automatic savegames, so this complain have no sense.

Now hear me out, new woah mode feature for the later custom mode to have an immortal snail. I think you get my drift. . . Ground level super slow yet is always in pursuit. Now this is just a joke but it is a bit hard to tell the legitimacy of this post without much context as to what or why. I didn't even like bugs myself to be entirely honest before dumping a few hundred hours into the original game. Now it's more of a passion, each time I see one now I feel the need to nerd out a bit and identify and give facts about them as I try to show them off.
