but why ? lol every other level even the cinema lets you control your character. honestly. feels like laziness to try to not make it fully a online fighter. or maybe its temporary like a place holder till they figure out how to make it run smooth online still it seems forced

I played about 15 hours. I enter an area, clear it, go into the red portal, clear it, go into another red portal, clear it, ad nauseam.

It seems like that is all there is to the game? Just running in circles and avoiding red circles? But maybe I am wrong. Should I invest more time in the game, because there is more to be had, if I endure it just a bit longer?

It's just boomer tedium. People over 40 have this rose tinted view of early MMOs. They are notorious for inserting time wasting mechanics and slapping the "gameplay feature" label on it. Examples include no real time minimap, no quest locations, extremely long leveling, tedious crafting, etc. These mechanics just exist to artificially boost gametime by making everything you do an absolute slog. That's why i put this game down. Wasting your players time isn't a feature or gameplay mechanic. That's why this game struggles to maintain a playerbase.
