I also found the datums appeared fine on a fresh playthough but after saving and loading were gone. I guess they are drawn in by a trigger but the trigger state wasn't saved.

Not sure what you really trying to argue here OP. The reason secure boot was implemented is because bootloaders is one of the many ways cheaters were able to bypass the kernel anticheats. Pretty sure every upcoming pvp shooter will have it as a requirement at this point.

Its a flawed method that only locks earnest players out of the game and forces them to buy new hardware even though their current hardware would run the game perfectly. Its all depending on whether a setting was implemented or not and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Its like locking people out of a game because they cant use RTX, making them spend hundreds of dollars just to play one game.

If your argument is that every company is gonna do it, then maybe disable that requirement until enough companies use that method to justify people needing to actually upgrade their hardware all for one setting... it can easily be turned on and off, look at 2042 it just got easily turned on.
