I don't intend for this system to completely replace the current model, but it certainly would allow Kuro to have leeway to make the gacha system more generous due to how much guaranteed income they'd be generating.

That and models like these would allow people to play when they feel like it, and would necessitate retainment instead of just daily logins which are practically chores, actual reasons for people to play the game for hours on end, even after months of playing. Basically turning the game from basically a single-player open world RPG into a multiplayer simulation game.

Of course, the logistics of that would need tweaking because I am not at all a professional in this department and what I'm putting forward may not even be realistic and achievable at all, but 1 dollar per person is an incredibly negligible fee to pay, and yet a substantial amount when you have millions of players. Players nowadays being rather unwilling to pay is a concern, but with enough quality and interest and attention, I do believe it's a very viable subsidiary monetisation method that could open the path for more consumer-friendly practices.
yeah, that's a lot of risk you're asking them to take, the game is still quite shaky, with very large problems throughout, all in dire need of being addressed, I somehow doubt they're interested in such a venture

I have no idea why you're bringing up the one dollar a month again, there's no way that's enough, ff14 that you just brought up has innumerable monetization vectors, as well as the support of some of the largest companies in existance, and they still charge considerably more than that, as you just said, the confidence with which you say a dollar a head would be fine seems a bit contradictory to everything else you're saying

it is entirely possible that as we get into 3.0 they'll start to get the ground under their feet from their current success and increase rewards or otherwise adjust how the gacha works anyway, and if they don't, no amount of increased or adjusted monetization was going to convince them to do so anyway, as they just aren't feeling that generous, we'll have to see, as I said, the state of the game is quite shaky, and unless they're preparing incredibly hard for 3.0, it isn't likely to stabilize anytime soon
Again, it's an arbitrary amount, and it's not meant as a demand for them to implement now, but just a model that could be adapted accordingly to work with the pre-existing model they currently have. I do indeed have confidence that they will eventually address a lot of its issues like Echoes and gated boss materials, maybe even the gacha system and pity itself, like having a pity counter for consecutive hard pities, this is more just a discussion on possible monetisation models, like how paper focused on purely cosmetics. I'm suggesting all three, with an arbitrary amount that is very cheap that will be regionally priced being able to give leeway for more consumer-friendly practices, since cosmetics alone, like you said, would struggle to carry its weight.
