Kind of reminds me of Ocarina of Time going 3d "too early" (imo) because it looks too blocky and combat gets rather clunky. I think it would have been better to do some more building upon the style of Link to the Past instead, and going 3d later when the technology was better.

For BG3, excellent voice acting (which they could afford) and better writing (which they could also afford) would have made portrait & text style dialogues better vs most other CRPGs.

They already had excellent voice acting. And I don't see how money was limiting the writing. They just don't write to your tastes, and more resources wouldn't change that.

Doing BG3 like a Pathfinder game would have left it about where the Pathfinder games ended up. Larian and the other players of the game are better off with things as they are.

I really truly wanted this to be the smooth awe inspiring shooter Ive been dreaming about but unfortunately it's a 6.5 - 7 in terms of over all value. The maps of course are tiny and the vertical levels are few in between to offer the game any real depth. It's literally a kill respawn fest similiar to that tiny cod map that lets you run in a circle. There is no tactical gameplay to be found here, just chokepoints and getting flanked while you follow the herd around from objective to objective to see who caps first. With the confusing broken class strategy of letting you use all the weapons from any class at all to the structured close system it's only manages to weaken the games identity further in what direction Battlefield belongs. Spawn beacons have no impact on the game matches, the guns themselves really seem to function the same besides the same apparent 2 or 3 chosen for the best dps output possible. I have never seen people die in seconds so quickly from veterans to noobs there is no real staying alive for anyone with the current maps. Its just die respawn die respawn you always have eyes on you with 0 breathe room. Voics comms are next to useless and won't get you much farther ahead no matter how you elite you try to come off. Whatever, I want a new shooter but im not so sure im getting my pre order now which thank god i held off until trying this beta. I dont know what to tell you, maybe most of you dont feel the same. I dont hate the game but I was just expecting more. Maybe with the larger maps I dont know.
