With you all the way to the last line. Community mods ARE often as comprehensive or quality as the original programming - which can be and remains pretty buggy, or need balancing, or need fleshing out, or tweaking (there is a reason the modder(s) put the time and effort in to create the mod in the first place). IMHO some of them are better than what PDX does - like EPE or RICE (just to spit out two).

You can prefer whatever you'd like.

Personally I prefer PDX fixes (Doesn't require people to search for fixes, longer longevity, and a more average quality) but I think this is a reasonable understanding between our two positions.
Uh, applying this to the actual topic, I think I'd rather PDX be pestered enough by people to implement a map partition system to allow users to customize what areas exist and what don't then have to just wait an unknown amount of time for a good enough mod for the same purposes.

Heck I still haven't won yet. Randoms are unbearable. I'm new but if your a new player or even veterans refrain from doing this:

1. Leaving Doors Wide Open
2. Attacking the first ship you see within 5 minutes

There are more I could list but this has been what I have gone through. Attacking enemies at the very beginning is a bad idea. For one you don't have the upgraded weapons to do anything and 2 you get a influx of boarders that make your life miserable. You need to focus on looting all the POI's that you see first. Gives you time to enjoy the PVE side of it as well as getting better loot. Make sure you pick up Shock Fields. When you see crystals or fuel loot it. If your not gonna speak on comms then ping things. Hence why I am trying to get a solid premade going.

Pantheon isn't a game where you quest your way to max lvl. In fact I'd say most of the quests aren't even worth doing. It's more about exploring and finding places you want to grind for gear. If you're looking for a robust quest system you will likely never find it here.
