In the interim I remembered that the Grenade Gauntlet was said to have infinite cleave on the special attack where you put the thing onto the enemy. Dunno if it still does that, but if it does the enemies need to be super stacked, to all take damage from the explosion.

Understandable and well explained, take my points.

Thank you, and in hindsight, I apologize for the rather rough tone at the end of my reply. It seems my annoyance at people using the Rumbler as Horde Clear (not mixed hordes) has been getting to me.

If we do it enough rumbla may get a well deserved nerf or trauma a buff, as it stands the poor stave is a debuff stick.

Sadly I don't know how you'd nerf the Rumbler to a level where people don't end up glued to it, because it literally breaks the game, but still maintain it's usefulness.

It is simply a poorly designed weapon in my eyes. The problem with them is also largely the User not the weapon itself.

The Trauma-staff is a lot better in that regard, although its just as annoying with peoples tendency to explode things just in front of the faces of their fellow operatives, thus costing said operatives stacks and ammo and such. Different story when they are struggling, but I have had so many people being "helpful" by thinning the horde right in front of my face, instead of exploding the Gunner a little to the side that was melting my face off, as a result of all my toughness-regain-suppliers being gone up in a cloud of gribbly.

No save feature from Outbreak influence

The game is a rogue-like, not a rogue-lite.
Appreciate the clarification but I didn't call the game a rogue-lite.

I named a couple reasons as to why I think people feel like the game requires a save. I personally don't care for a save or not. I was a huge fan of RE Outbreak and still play on the private servers to this day.

I think for the sake of early reviews which indie games depend on, the addition of a save would do more good than bad since that is the main bulk of negative reviews currently.

That's my bad. I was caught up in the heat of the moment. Sorry for that.

I will say that the game will, in it's current state, will only take 1.5 - 2 hours to "beat"with friends. Probably a bit longer on solo. I don;t see a use for a save at this point tbh. Maybe later when we get more stuff to do, but that is it.

Even roguelikes have a save system. Many roguelikes allow you to save mid-run, allowing the player to play for however long they wish, save, and return another time. But even if we were to ignore that, there's other types of saving that's beneficial to roguelikes. Such as saving results of runs; things like what build I had during previous runs, how far I got, etc. It gives a sense of progression as you can clearly see from game results that you're getting better or worse with each run.

Other things worth having a save system can include an in-game glossary for things like perks you've obtained for quick reference, files you've read for those who're invested in the story, and also allowing things like unlockables that don't affect gameplay. Things like new cosmetics for your characters, perhaps locked behind in-game achievements similar to World of Horror.

Currently the game has no achievements for that kind of feature. From what I have played over the demo and this current EA build, to not give anything away in the short time you have with the game, it is too short to even have a save at the moment. Progression is kind of non-existent with what happens at the end.

Your build is also randomised from the skills that are available. There is some consistency, but you get skill points depending on the number of skulls per level. Levels are fixed with some randomness of the puzzles. You also don;t have to do everything in the missions.

Sorry for flying off the handle. I was a bit heated.
