I don't think so, but is it really such a big problem? The game only auto-saves at fixed points (leaving an area, starting a new chapter and finishing the game) and each of these gets their own save file.

The auto-save will never overwrite a manual save, nor will it overwrite quick-saves.
With exceptions of final saves (of which there is a new one each time you finish the game), there is only 1 auto save per chapter and 1 auto save for leaving area's.
The save games themselves are less than 1 MB in size.

Finally it takes no time to save your game (unless you have a really old machine )

So if I have to guess for a reason why there is no way to 'turn off' the auto-save, it's because they're not really in the way. They barely take up space, and you don't have to use them when loading a game (you can always pick a different save). Only the final saves a required for exporting your game to BGII.

Yeah there's a lot of things having issues with regrowing/respawning it seems like. Grass and weed stems are my biggest issue (I decided not to do the thatch roof until Milkweed is more abundantly available and/or respawns). There's a video one of the content creators made on things to try to get stems to regrow/respawn, though none if it seemed to work for me unfortunately. I've resorted to cutting down some things here and there but not too much directly around my base since I don't like a completely barren look haha. Hopefully the devs can get something sorted out sooner than later since that's my biggest gripe right now, the rest of the issues are minor enough for me to not care at the moment.

It doesn't show up on the steam bestseller list. That can only be a bad sign, I suppose..

I gotta say. I was one of the haters of this game for quite a while until I gave it another try. Just the sheer amount of mods that make the experience so much better is more than enough reason to keep playing. I honestly feel like this game is being criticized far too harshly when you compare previous bethesda games that are of much lesser scale. The attention to detail with this game is actually quite amazing and jaw dropping at times. I feel like im finding my way through this universe to be almost tranquil with exciting moments sprinkled around. I think most of us have misjudged what this game is meant to be. I understand we live in a era of gaming where we expect endless content and way more of it, but in reality I dont think this game was ever meant to be a michael bay action film with Destiny 2 endgame. But more of a journey and a unique experience that I honestly haven't gotten from many games before...

Whatever, at least HOLLOW KNIGHT is great.

thats kinda dumb, who'll pay for a strong hero if they're banned every match, people just have to accept 4vs4 isn't a balanced game mode
