My experience wasn't far off from this either.
The game play feels like there are no consequences attached to your actions.

The world doesn't respond to your actions, It just follows it's scripted path.
There are no consequences for selling human flesh, raising zombies or dropping bodies in the river instead of burying them.

The humour is off-handed to the degree of pretentiousness. It makes one roll one's eyes. The 'Joke' quest to unlock "The rest of town" is a prime example of the poor design philosophy behind this potentially good game.
You do the quest, for your reward, lightning strikes you down and you re-spawn at home. with no indication of whether or not it would be possible to get to town.
A waste of time and in-game resources that does not communicate that it was a waste of time and resources.

A game shouldn't make you feel like you are wasting your time. That is bad design.
It should engage you to the degree that you do not notice the passage of time anymore.

Me when I got to McDonald's and order a Big Mac but they don't give me the filet mignon I wanted.

You were very very lucky if you had a PS2 that could display graphics that are in this game. Some people must have some super powered playstations LOL

Most people are playing all these legendary games (TXR, Midnight Club, Gran Turismo...) with PS2 emulators today on their expensive high spec rigs, with HD or 4K monitors etc. I played GT4 on emulation on my PC recently and I was like, holy crap, did GT4 have these amazing graphics, because in my beat up (and now blown up) PS2 it didn't exactly look like that...

I am very aware of PCSX2 and other emulators. I play Tokyo Xtreme racer 3 with 8x resolution and a 4K texture mod. This game still doesn't look any where near like a PS2 game. It has a lot better graphics than any PS2 game.

As with all other persistent issues like 500KG inconsistency, AI clipping through terrain, AI below map, getting stuck under corpses, etc etc. The reason stuff like this isnt getting fixed is that the devs don't know how to or don't care. So I'd make peace with the fact that this game has a considerable amount of jank. Most of these issues are day one issues so considering it's been well over a year I've given up hope that this game will ever be free of jank. Still love this game to death.

God forbid people provide feedback on things they like and dislike about the game

hi again then lol, when i see notification and i click on it simple, at least im not responding that i love daddy greg etc. as some guy here that got banned, im mostly responding to ppl saying its scam for sake of just saying its a scam, its lost the meaning really, dev is working on the game and not really hiding it, not my fault ppl cant be patient
