I don't know if lag is a factor here, but the lazer weapons always hit what they should, whereas pistol and shotgun seem to only land like 50% of the time even if you're aiming properly.

My guess is it's a collision issue, e.g. the lazer weapons use a hitscan (raycast?) and the projectile weapons use physical projectiles; which is nice aesthetically and in theory, but in practice can lead to failed collisions since fast moving objects having collision issues is extremely common in games.

There's probably a way both can be mixed (like a safety raycast from the firing position to the bullet current location every X milliseconds and mark it as a hit if it lands on something but the current method seems to be buggy as hell.

The rating mode of this game works on win and loose streaks! You get 10-15 wins literally without doing anything, your team wins 5v6, the enemy team cannot leave the save zone. After that, the situation changes 100% in the opposite direction, your team turns into AI, you play at 200% of your level, choose the right heroes, but no matter what you do, you suffer 10-15 defeats. All this happens consistently! Until you suffer the right amount of defeats, you won't start winning. Strong and weak teams are selected specifically, this algorithm is too obvious

There is absolutely zero DEI in the game. Its a good old fashioned dinosaur hunting survival platformer metroidvania. You, your wife, your child and 2000 raptors.
