Ray is basically on easy mode, the slowdown effect gives the AI a big advantage. Rays have been able to easily defeat the K since their release:
Even my rattlesnake now points guns at K and blasts it - if that one works, everything should work.

Also, dont forget: I couldnt even get rays to work in the past, for years now. xD (you know the videos)

That said, I get cucked by the random behaviours that trigger "find better position" behaviour, which then reintroduces dumb spinning - so... while I fixed "the K bug", it only exposed the flaws I already mentioned previously to the fullest extent.

I just did a "proof of concept" >.<

Still testing what is going on... meh, the "usual issues" I now run into are:

- K goes straight on top of my ships, breaking everything (thanks egosoft, for making that dumb design decision... when ships cant even shoot there)

^^this one... it breaks the whole game - why the F is it even in the game? (I need to find the cause for this, and remove it, because its such a big issue now.)

- random stuff triggered by cpt skill (less an issue with the rayrays, since they are 0-1 star, but my rattler is 3.5 star and tends to do more weird stuff now.

- fast moving ships like H still cause trouble and weird everything out, because of the constant chaning "best quadrants" and stuff

- AI not being able to properly aim at targets moving sideways ("tracking issues")

- AI just sitting there 20 seconds and doing nothing, making me question if I caused that... just to realize: oh, its the "degeneracy timer" the script is running.

but, its a starting point... just proving that egosoft could have always fixed it easily, if they actuall wanted to.


I can also now confirm, that the Rattler has indeed different behaviour from other ships - it deliberately goes UNDER the K, while rays just shoot at it.

You fix one issue, and get 100 more as result.

Can you please post the whole script you changed or make a mod of it.
If that actually works I might even get back into the game.
