9800X3D / 5080 here and I can play it without FG or DLSS @ 1440p with an average of around 90fps.

I choose to use FG to better match the refresh of my monitor ( 144hz) and it results in a smoother experience @ 140fps. It's better with FG and Reflex on than off with my 5080. If I drop to 1080p I get an average of 110fps with the same settings, but it's better for me to then enable FG to bring fps up to match my monitor refresh. I could run the monitor @ 100hz instead and leave FG off, but I've tried and it's still better for me @ 144hz with FG and Reflex.

I actually play @ 3840x1600 DLSS Quality with FG on and get basically the same performance as 1440p DLAA.

When I first started playing on a 3950X and 2080ti I needed all the help I could get from a combination of FSR3.1 and DLSS. I still managed to play @ 1440p and had a blast.

If the engine upgrade lifts my performance to an average of 100 or 110 fps at my res of choice, I'll still use FG for a better match with my monitors refresh rate because it works so well.


Would I rather Nvidia had released the 5080 with double it's raster performance instead of doubling down on FG? Of course, but it didn't happen.

I always hope for better performance, but I also use all the tools available to me to get the most out of what I have.

Your on a 9800 and 5080 though which is way above what the Recommended is, the recommend says that only a 5800x and 3070 ti is needed so it still needs to be fixed

It not about password it about logging in issues that the game prevented me to play and I have Xbox account too. have launched that before steam then launched FH5 nothing changed. Just pop up saying not signed in and can not play then shut it down on me
