eh. if you go with a build that gets greater magic weapon, Darkfire, and stoneskin. I'm relatively sure the amount of save scumming you'll need to do is actually minor.

the most save scumming i do in the OC is before chests. because if you roll low you get a cracked sash and if you roll high its got stuff worth 40,000 gold in there.

you take a straight paladin build, its got greater magic weapon, bless weapon, Divine favor, you don't actually need to reroll much. there are some fights that are a tad ...bad in the first chapter. but once you hit like level 6 its not too bad and when you get greater magic weapon at 12 you won't need any rerolling.

Yet but it is a while before you get those. As best as I can remember Stone skin is a sixth level spell and that means you have to be level 11 to cast it unless you can find or by a wand. Even then your UMD may not be high enough to cast it 100% of the time until you are level 7 or 8
