Critical Crash (GSOD): MEMORY_MANAGEMENT on Windows 11 24H2 - Easy Anti-Cheat Compatibility Issue
Hello Apex Legends Developers and Community,

I am writing to report a critical and consistently reproducible crash that is preventing me from playing Apex Legends. I believe this issue is directly related to an Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) compatibility problem with the latest Windows 11 24H2 update on modern Intel hardware.

The Issue:

Every time I play Apex Legends, my system will eventually crash with a Green Screen of Death (GSOD for Windows Insiders) displaying the error code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

This crash only happens when playing Apex Legends. No other games or demanding applications cause this issue.

The crash can occur randomly, sometimes in the lobby, sometimes mid-game.

System Specifications:

OS: Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4770)

CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER

GPU Driver: Game Ready Driver - 580.97 (and have tested others)

RAM: 32.0 GB

Platform: Steam / EA App

The Root Cause: Confirmed EAC Incompatibility

After further investigation, I found official documentation from Microsoft that describes this exact problem. According to the Windows 11 24H2 Release Health page (ID: 52325539), there is a known issue causing a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD on devices with:

Windows 11, version 24H2.

Intel Alder Lake (12th Gen) or newer CPUs.

Games that use Easy Anti-Cheat.

Microsoft has stated that this issue is "Resolved" as of July 24, 2025. However, their definition of "Resolved" means that the fix requires an updated version of EAC to be deployed by the game publisher.

This confirms that the problem is not with my hardware, but with the version of EAC currently bundled with Apex Legends being incompatible with the new Windows update.

Request to the Apex Legends Team:

I kindly request that the development team investigate this issue urgently. Please push an update for Apex Legends that includes the latest version of Easy Anti-Cheat, which is fully compatible with Windows 11 24H2 on modern Intel platforms.

Many users will be upgrading to Windows 11 24H2 soon, and this issue will likely affect a growing portion of your player base. Addressing this proactively would be greatly appreciated.
