I wonder if that would work. The idea sounds interesting but I'm not sure if it can. I'm no sysadmin, but the way I understand it, the PC needs a way to reject non-whitelisted IP addresses which attempt to initiate a P2P connection. We may create a VLAN, but the game still connects to Elden Ring server using the public IP. No idea how the game then establishes a P2P connection between two computers though, but I would assume it would be using that same public IP.

It will work but my example with the corporate VPN is just conceptual. It will unlikely work because your sysadmin will block ports that are required to establish the connection. The way it will work it explained here for port forwarding or VPN you need to subscribe. I kind of tricky business to get it working but once it`s working you and your friends can play safely.

you're wrong, they only fired the 3 founders of Subnautica. The development team was paid.
The founders were minimally involved in the development anyway, they were off pursuing their own projects like movies and software and whatever. To thing that out of the 250mil bonus, they were gonna get 225 mil split between the three ( and only 5 mil for the dev team) when they're doing ♥♥♥♥-all for the development of their sequel..

Ya exactly. Charlie is actually a talentless hack who kind of has a big ego. Tom was the real hero of Subnuatica's development but people forget that.

They didn't learn from Humankind's atrocious war mechanics.

Even so- it reallllly depends.
The other dude who literally insults me by name never has their posts removed for example.

I dunno i would actually prefer the 1st option or just all horse cavalry units turning to vehicle based units. Historically thats how it was, They either gave up there horses and moved to vehicles or back to infantry or something else. A lancer didn't suddenly become and helicopter pilot and it is immersion breaking... for me atleast.
I accept that some modern armies do call there helicopter squadrons "light cav" but i don't really see how it made sense in civ world. They should have made recce vehicles.
In my mind the devs this this as they didn't want to further diverse the unit structure. Which doesn't make sense in my mind.

I just had a run on Expert - Who am I? when got to the manspiders 3x of them i killed each of them in 5 sec. not trying to be cool or anything, i had ammo - elemental, lightning bolt and perks was lightning - shield - lock and loaded. i used 2 magasins to kill all 3.

exactly this,something being hard just challenges you to improve.with extra people in group they are way harder but your in a group learn from it and play as a team

And it appealed to different groups (I enjoyed both BF from 1942 all the way to 4, and CoD 'till the original MWs), but they do not work when mixed.

Wanting them to just remake your favourite BF with better graphics isn't going to work.

Neither does appeasing the non-existing "modern audience" which is exactly what BF does just the same as any other game trying to do everything together, or just enough to mostly fulfill the needs of the typical "modern" gamer that has an attention span of a goldfish in order to extract dopamine.

If all these games eventually take the same route, then what's the point?
