Maybe if or when AI reaches a level of sapience that is comparable to our own and is actually able to create art instead of images, then I might be more receptive to it. Until then, it should remain a novelty.

well, let's see if we can define it
a quick search on duckduckgo gives us, or at least me, three definitions for sapience:
1, the quality of being sapient- not helpful
2, the property of being sapient/the property of possessing or being able to possess wisdom
3, ability to apply knowledge or experience or understanding or common sense and insight

sentience, a concept commonly confused with, but distinct from, sapience, also has three definitions from my cursory websearching;
1, the quality or state of being sentient; consciousness
2, feeling as distinguished from perception and thought
3, the quality or state of having sensation

currently, most AIs that talk, Large Language Models or LLMs, are algorithmically determining which word is most likely to follow the previous word, based on how much it shows up in the database they're using as reference; perhaps most famously, this leads to a large number of words that they misspell when asked to count the occurrences of a specific letter, but also relevant in that you can fairly consistently get an LLM-type AI to change its stance on something essentially by going "are you sure? i think there are really three 'r's in 'watermelon'"
the LLM does not understand a language as anything beyond a database full of strings of letters that statistically appear most frequently in certain orders; likewise, many image recognition or generation AIs do not understand images as anything beyond collections of pixels statistically likely to appear in certain configurations
i remember a specific anecdote of an AI trained to recognize the difference between wolves and dogs, but the sample data included wolves on mostly snowy backgrounds and dogs on mostly non-snowy backgrounds, so it was actually being trained to see if an image was mostly white or mostly not white
and "understand" is probably a generous word here, but i can't think of a better one

It's sad, but what can we do. There will probably be mods to fix it, like the mods for skywalker saga that uncensored the "Slave I" ship. Or the uncensored mods for the DQ3 remake. That's just how it is in 2025. No consumer choice, no feedback loop, just leave it to the community to make mods, which just get banned anyway.

(Btw never use nexusmods unless you have to, migrate to gamebanana or somewhere else as nexusmods just push politics instead of free choice. Personally i believe platforms should have total free speech, as long as all politics are strictly 18+, no matter where on the spectrum. Anyway sorry for my political rant lmao)

Ive unlocked the sluice box and got four to put in the river they work no problem but i found one in the mine it says sluice box has the same description but it is different it has a stand and is placed on land but i can't figure out how to use it

1) make a build that is so op you can stand still and never need to move by just chucking tesla balls that explodes the entire screen, but this isnt viable

2) learn how to position yourself. which is the boring answer of "practice makes perfect"

the big killer i see with randoms is that they keep ignoring that their gun has range and is constantly in the face of enemies which just obliterates their hp, and there is no reason for it.

I dont have much solo play saved atm, but this is an example from me trying to make a support grenade build on higher difficulty which was rough as others didnt have OP builds either. But try to see how far away i stay from EVERYTHING in that clip, always, constantly, where as the others keeps dying cause they are in melee range.

The only real dangerous enemy in the second area is the hook turtle and you can line of sight him. if you dont have a massive aoe build then just focus on one enemy at a time and try to catch the strays, prioritize the flying buff frogs first, and then just stay at range from the others.

as long as you avoid grenade spam and stay at range basically nothing can hurt you.
