i have rx7700xt but i still only got 20 fps on the first mission , after i changed from directx to vulcan it went to 130fps

Was vengeance the death explosion item? It only hits front and back rows so you can keep characters safe from it by placing them in the middle.

If you are going to play in the CK. Look in your game / root folder / tools / and find the zipped ContentResources and install everything into your game / data folder.

The only thing that costs money in this game is cosmetic stuff, as far as I know. That's all I've ever seen.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.

I don't usually post to the Community Discussions, but I have to this time. One year ago, I was disappointed at Doom: The Dark Ages' announcement. I thought it looked very un-Doomlike, and looked like a shameless attempt at changing the identity of the series wholesale. Overtime, developer interviews would win me over to the new direction and the intent of the game. And now that I'm playing it...

I'm eating my words. Doom 3 is no longer my favourite Doom game, The Dark Ages has taken its place. It's hands down one of the best throwback shooters I've ever played, and one of the best shooters I've played period. And part of the reason why is because the fact that the change in direction artistically and stylistically speaking wound up being a massive benefit for The Dark Ages to stand out amongst its two brethren. In fact, The Dark Ages might have the most unique, bold personality of the Doom series so far, a personality that screams "familiar, yet rejuvenated". And if this is the last time we will see the Doom Slayer, I think Id made a true high to end on here.
