Please add LGBTQ+ representation to the game, it would mean a lot to people like me. It's not just about representation; it's about making everyone feel included. Plus, it could attract more people to play the game

Celendrin původně napsal:
Last thing they need is some know it all to come in and start pointing at stuff. Based on what you said you have 0 knowladge in game development, its not as simple as you go and point fingers everything follows code you change one thing 3 brakes. "

-- lol what are you attacking me about?

I never said anything (so far, other than the obvious and general idea about a control scheme,

which funny enough is agreed upon being lacking) that necessitates any kind of attack on me,

I never said anything about '3 lines of code' or this or that,

I said what I always will and anyone that actually produces something of 'quality' knows -

you need a cohesive vision of the end result, and how to manage all the little things (whether it's '3 lines of code' or not) that get there,

to have a worthy finished product.

This is true of a painting or building a roof on a house,

everything is about harmonizing the parts, making things cohesive,

I never once said "it only takes changing 3 lines of code",

and to be honest what's with all the attitude people are bringing here and attacking me with their (your) _assumptions_ on what you _think_ I'm saying versus what I'm actually saying.

The world is full of rulers, leaders and 'guiders', and most of them work behind the scenes and nobody (few) know about them,

yet they are the ones behind all the 'great' people of all walks of life,

99% of youtubers (as an example) who seem 'solo' and somehow 'above average' and amazing and hardworking etc,

are almost always part of a team with some unseen puppet-master pulling all the strings to make it all work, (usually a parent or brother nobody knows about)

but they have a 'facade' using someone charismatic to make the whole illusion work. (usually some attractive daughter / younger sister)

When (most) gamers themselves don't hold developers to a higher standard,

because they are too busy attacking people like me who try to push gaming further,

will inevitably get stuck with mostly garbage and that's exactly what you see happening now with steam.

I said repeatedly this game had huge potential, it's great in many ways,

I just also said such types of games would end up so much better if they had some input on how they were being put together as a cohesive whole, instead of losing sight of the 'parts' and how they all fit together.

None of that involves me or anyone else being 'narcissistic' or "ego-tistical" etc.

You people sound like fools attacking me,

if you broke your leg riding a bike,

and needed someone who knew biology, medicine and surgical tools to fix you 'asap',

you'd scream and cry and beg bloody-murder for the 'best' person around to do surgery on you to get you back in tip-top shape as fast as possible,

if someone came around and said,

"yeah I have 30 years medical experience doing surgeries on legs and feet, I could do your surgery",

OR, some nobody who has no experience in nothing and therefore doesn't seem,'egotistica' when he has nothing to say,

who do you want doing the surgery?

You need to get out of the house more if you feel people that have inordinate amounts of experience in something should never point it out,

the biggest problem in the world is people trying to do things they don't have the experience to do,

because often times they over-shadow the 'quiet loner' types who do have that experience but don't 'beat their chest' trying to show it.

If you think some lone person trying to offer help in a dark corner of the interweb is 'beating his chest' you need to get out more.

Rawdge understood a general idea of what I meant (though I didn't / dont want any 'title' or 'role' ,

just to be able to give some input as the game developers, nobody would even know I did that other than the devs themselves,
(so so much for that 'narcissistic' aspect, how can someone be narcissistic if nobody even knows they existed and what they did, lol.. )

Anyways,

I tried to be succinct and tactful with the whole 'art' example,

but I guess in a world of people who do no art themselves it completely missed the mark.

Anyone that ever tried to draw a picture, especially of a face, would immediately know what I was getting at -

it has absolutely nothing to do with 'narcissism', thinking you're cool, or wanting attention / accolades,

it just has to do with trying to do something that can be seemingly impossible at times --

keeping a picture going and having it be 'put together' in a way that doesn't make it come out as a 'freak'.

All the people who are throwing around 'clown' awards, obviously,

are clowns themselves, because I can guarantee if I bet a million dollars they couldn't draw a (beautiful) face even if your life depended on it.

I would end up a multi-millionaire putting this kind of challenge out there.

Drawing _is_ that difficult and that's all the point I was trying to make,

game development is equally difficult,

but the product is a 'game' and the 'details' are the aspects of how the game is put together.

Rawdge also doesn't realize how right he is with the 'nepotism' remark,

the vast majority of devs are interrelated (through blood or networks) and that's part of the problem,

they don't 'hire' roles based on skill or experience,

they hire based on working together to push agendas, making each other rich etc.

Ironically,

one of the people trying to make fun of me mentioned 'Sweet Baby' inc. etc,

without realizing that's all part of that 'network' and that's exactly why almost all games are so bad nowadays,

its' all the same people doing it regardless what 'company' they appear to work at.

Please note I'm not against the 'Network',

when you see what people are like (i.e. this thread for example),

you can understood why those people stick to their own families, bloodlines and fraternities.
Nobody would argue about you sincere intentions for the betterment of the game, but you are a bit tone deaf from up on that high horse you came riding in on, you talk to the devs like they are lost little kids that need your guidance... it comes across a bit arrogant you should know.
