Honestly, in its current state, it is too limited to do anything even remotely serious. There aren't enough furnishings and the building limitations (eg, no variable wall height, minimum wall length requirement, etc.) are too strict. Having said that, it really depends on what you had in mind because you can create some nice-looking houses with the game. But it will probably have compromises compared to your original vision.

If you are actually wanting to do something "professional" I would recommend getting your hands on the free (or $10/mo "Go") version of Sketchup and then using the free version of D5 Render to create outputs. D5 Render, even the free version, can create some amazing still images, panoramas, and videos, and unlike a lot of the other professional rendering engines, doesn't lock you out of the higher quality rendering settings. And the amount of free models/materials is decent, and you could of course just model anything you want with Sketchup. D5 Render even has a Fly/Walk mode that uses WASD to move around so you can tour your house.

Obviously if you are new to either of those programs, there is a bit of a learning curve, but there are a lot of tutorials for both.
