How exactly is pirate bg strong? Better hull repair is nice, but hull regen tanking is optional and relevant only for huge hulls. While access to buying heavy boosters and pirate heatsinks only needs a dip into it, not to keep it constantly. And even that is optional if you are fine with grinding missions.

While lone wolf gives +5 pilot, which makes reaching 60 much more feasible. And even just 55 without having to waste slot on a sub-par pilot with Bonus Pilot skill specialization is great too.

Well, for combat, big hulls are the only thing that matters, because they are the only thing that has the damage to kill those -10million hunter fleets before your PC crashes. If you want to fly around in a shuttle or yacht, that's cool, but you're not going to be as useful in combat as if you were flying a dread (as it should be).

So, that multiplicative repair efficiency stack is why it's so good. It's larger than the Lone Wolf one (11 vs 25) and those are the only 2 stats that actually matter for either perk (ignoring consortium A.I.).

Screams from women soldiers sounds so much of a nitpick. Are we really going to have the rightoid version of how leftists complained about EVERYTHING that doesn't fit exactly to how they want it?

I think the game is overall good. Doesn't really compare to BF4, but they gotta make it different in some way while keeping the inspiration of those older games. How many times do people complain about "this is just a copy of the same game and I don't like that" then now it's not the exact same as older games.

If you want the exact games, then you can go play those older games. BF4 has 4k players at peak within 24hrs. I've played games within triple digits and still enjoyed it for what it is.

Everyone wants a DOOM clone until they get a DOOM clone, its always going to be to "they just copied the original" or "its not enough like the original"
