I tried harder again and some 8 slugga boys killed my scouts and then my space marines.
They have got to have some sort of HP buff as well.

Yeah, I don't like base rush or cheese tactics. Hard difficulty feels quite balanced.
Do well, and things will go well.
I've just been playing 1v1 in order to figure it out. But 1v2 e.t.c might get the difficulty right., or letting A.I tech up.

I honestly dont remember hp buffs on hardest difficulties although something crosses my mind on those

Its been a while since I played vanilla. I play mostly mods now

Though I played skirmish in this version a couple of times without mods but didnt quite notice the hp buff on harder

Slugga boys are quite good melee units tho, they can easily overwhelm most of the all-rounder units but that is debatable since im not a hardcore 1v1 player

of course they would just ♥♥♥♥ on the assignments without fixing the roster.. this is the second one that they left in, that i found, that you cant finish. great

What did you do to your router? I tried alfa's solution but I was denied access for the two /policies lines. Despite being the admin on the PC, the only user.

I've connected the PC to a 4G router I had upstairs because for some reason my fresh Windows install was denying NTP and clock synchronization. Then I switched the network back to fibre, tried launching the game after updating the system, but it gave me error 95, so I've plugged into the 4G router again and it worked.

Figured I'm gonna check if it works if I plug myself directly into the ONT the ISP gave me by skipping router entirely, and it worked again.

If I connect to the router, it gives me error 95.

"everyone else is enjoying" is maybe not true... alot of ppl seem to be pissed about the state of the game and this beta. and i get it, its nearly unplayable, 2 weeks to late and the prise went up. its no ideal

Oh I would be pissed, that's why I waited, kinda knew this.
But the price didn't go up, it's the same.

you also change your statements about how you broke them that often,

at least stay consistent with your lies.

He didn't see you as a threat and watched to see what direction the throws were .

King however you can't reliably do that and are safer baiting fake crouches into ws defense.

But everyone else so far S2 grabs are visual so if for instance you like to grab 3x then watching you would be best advised for long term sets as you have a high chance of showcasing the type of player revealing patterns, you are within 2-3 fights if its a first to 10 that's completely safe.

Nina however has a lot of similar options to king making it hard to reason her grab stances

Lili she is generic and has no special throws that come from a stance, Nina's break window is also deceptive i try to break on the second she crouches keeping in time with her butterfly options.

if he has to zone in that's one thing it also depends who a person plays.

Nina having extra throws which he used in our match made it more difficult. I played Nina but I do not remember how to break them and she even has an unblockable throw if Im not mistaken

Compared to Lili regular throws are easy to break specially if like he said he does not know how to use her. With her Nina I also had to deal with constant aggression, and she is probably her best character with the highest win rate

Due my to stupidity, I opened my 0.4.0 save on my laptop which isn't set to beta...

“Just because there hasn’t been an update in 7 months doesn’t automatically mean the game is ‘dead.’ Starbase has always been ambitious, experimental, and extremely complex under the hood — updates take time. The scale of systems like voxel-level ship damage, bolt construction, and a single-shard universe isn’t something you patch every few weeks like a casual survival game.

The servers are still running, people are still building and flying ships, and the foundation Starbase laid is something no other game has matched. Unless the studio outright pulls the plug, you can’t call it over — it’s still here, still playable, still unique. Development isn’t always about constant content drops; sometimes it’s about maintaining stability and letting the community shape the experience.

So no, 7 months doesn’t mean it’s abandoned. It means it’s resting — and until the lights actually go out, Starbase deserves to be defended as the one-of-a-kind game it is
