Overwatch had no role queue, it was more popular than Rivals at that time, it implemented role queue, it went down to 1/5th the populace of what Rivals is at now, use brain.

OW moved to roles queues FOR REASONS. And it was still very popular as it went to roles queues in 2019. Roles queues helped to alleviate EOMM issues. It made matches more balanaced, with way more chances for comebacks and easier for the devs to balance heroes as you could no longer have killer combos compositions or, viceversa, the more crap composition ever. Something which happens in this game.

A team based game MUST have basic rules. Having no rules and letting players to do what they want is pure trash and most of the times a suicide for your game.
It's like having teams with different roles, or no roles at all, in a soccer match. It sucks and none would enjoy it, nor watching at it.

Marvel Rivals matches are a total mess. It's full of solo players going solo, playing solo and fot playing for the team precisely because they have NO ROLE. This is the LEAST team based game ever released.

Imo, they should remove those team-up ♥♥♥♥♥, which is the reason they don't care about proper roles in this game, and add roles queues. This game would totally change into a new level. They wanted to add something new to this to not entirely copy OW and they failed very hard, because the game at current state SUCKS.
