the difficulty/mob spawns/bandits/coyote's increases the longer you progress. also try finding laptops. they create events and bandit camps

shattered earth events are more inclined to drop certain legendary loot i think. noklateo (?) is solid for the mogwhyn blood spear and the curved sword legendary (can't remember its name, its not that great).

They are not. They do have locations garanteed to be able to drop legendary loot which is why they make the game easier (for Rotted Woods it's just that there are loads of elite bosses), but they don't have a biased loot pool.

Wait until you try to harvest a HB spice field that's on drum sand (that is now seemingly invisible). I've had worms pop out 5 meters away from me. Close enough to trigger the zoomed out chase camera instantly even though they aren't chasing yet. It's a damn wonder I haven't lost a thopter to this.

This has happened a lot to me recently and I about shat myself when the cam zoomed out. It's near impossible to harvest on drum sand.
