It would be neat to speculate on what House Ophelion might be like. I don't have the Dune Encyclopedia, so I don't know what it says about the House.

Ophelion means "To help/aid or profit/benefit." It's possible this House could be connected to the Butlerian Jihad and rose to power ruthlessly opposing Thinking Machines. I don't know how casuals would feel about playing a zealot...

However, it is important to note, as much as I love the Ixians, Duke Leto II did predict a future where the Ixians designed a self replicating Hunter Seeker Droid that ultimately consumed all Organic Life in the Universe... A true Von Neumann Horror. The Cult of Serena may be Luddites of various degrees, but they believe in the spirit of mankind and curb technological weakness.

I have seen people saying Spears weren't used in Dune because shields would allow people to "Grab" the spear in combat... But that's actually pretty absurd. All you need to do is put spikes on the far end so any "Grab" would impale the hand. Spears don't gain power from SPEED, but from leverage, which is very useful when using slow techniques to penetrate shields.

The main reason not to use Spears is they are weapons of commoners and typically more functional used in formation to prevent foes from getting close and preventing the spear from using leverage. The thing is... Holtzman Shields cover a key weakness of spears. So it rolled back to popular culture. The Swordmasters of Ginaz trained with modified fighting machines that crossed the lines of prohibition against Thinking Machines... But pushed the human form so far that even the Cult of Serena had to give pause and admit merit.

Ginaz Fell, but House Moritani did not... Which means something changed in this timeline which prevented the death of Wolfram Moritani. Others must have lived too.

This is where House Ophelion may tie in... With less deaths of critical people, perhaps Ophelion may have had a hand in it.

After just a couple of hours into it, I don't understand why there isn't a building mode. We need a build mode. Can even be unlockable late game to make redesigning somewhat easier. Right now it's really a pain.

What exactly would be different about a 'build mode' though? And why not just have any changes for that simply be a part of the game to begin with, rather than siloed off somewhere? After all building stuff is the majority of the game, and essentially all of it once you hand grind through to your first automated sorting setup.
I mean we effectively already have 'building time' before and after each days deliveries just due to the need to avoid the buggyness caused by interacting with anything other than parcels whilst machines are running, but that's not a good thing in any way and the goal should be to eliminate that effective restriction rather than doubling down and intentionally making it worse.
