Heh heh, highly unlikely. Far more likely that he got banned for duping. There are a massive number of threads complaining about the game who's authors were not banned, some of them quite extensive. Furthermore, the developers have acknowledged this feedback.

That's because you're probably tier 2: you can be in either T4-2 or T3-1 games. But T5 players will most likely never see a T1 player in their game (the only way is if the T1 is droping in group with low tier players so the average tier of the group is 3).

When we're talking about "opening the tier gates" (like on the 8v8 post mortem), we're talking about forgetting the +2/-2 tier rule that for the moment kinda protects new players and puts them in their own matches (up to tier 3 players).

The mix of groups and solo players is a different problem and has nothing to do with tiers.
