Those are only modifiers to increase the frequency and strength, they do not determine whether or they happen.

Hunter fleets will attack you even if you don't have any negative reputation with anyone, but they won't be that common or strong unless you have those modifiers.

Pirates are just another faction like any other. You can be enemies with them, neutral, or even allies. They are just by default in the most basic settings set to red, but that doesn't mean they function any differently.

If you are hated by pirates, that is another influencer towards hunter fleets, just as if you were hated by PMC (mining faction).

To explain why you "suddenly stopped being attacked", it is likely that you reduced your proximity to a system that was controlled by a pirate faction. If you are within a certain range of an enemy faction, it will also increase frequency of hunter fleet attacks. Go further away from proxomity of those systems, and the frequency will decrease, even potentially reaching 0.

It's a little confusing of a system and not easily tracked, but it is there and functions normally on it's own.

Base attacks, and the DLC do not change or interact with this function in any way shape or form. A base attack fleet can only exist in a system you own a base in, and even if you do get attacked by them, warping out removes them from your gameplay until you warp back into that system where you still own the base.

They are completely seperate systems. Whatever was hunting you had nothing to do with the dlc.

I've been neglecting CS. But it's only because I'm distracted.

I expected the role system to more developed considering how long it was between the last update and this test. I felt that the latest test really didn't shake up the way NPC's interact with the world like the coffee diaries eluded too.

On the topic of ice jugs, I do have a minor QOL request - some sort of toggle for water jugs so that when they are emptied by filling up tubs, animal drinking troughs and such, that instead of being taken to the nearest water source to be refilled and then left where they are by said water source, that they are filled and then returned to whatever pallet they were removed from when being emptied

I'm asking for this because its turning into a rather irritating situation every winter that all my drinking jugs keep getting emptied as they're used for the animals, and then left next to the well to freeze, which causes issues with drinking water for the animals as bringing said jugs back to where they were supposed to be lowers the temperature of the room well into freezing, yet no matter what I do settings wise, they never return the jugs to their proper pallets and just leave them to freeze as soon as they're refilled

I'd love if UT5 would not just give a number boost, but enhance how an ID works.
So many old underdesigned IDs could use it.
Rabbit Heathcliff could use more Charge interactions.

Exactly. I just want IDs to even have their own mechanics related to their own art or story. given what advantages they carry.
