I finished game already. I thought the map will get bigger as you get more levels. A little disappointed that it is so short. But otherwise a very cool game

Yeah steam now only displays ratings now for your default language. Basically every game now shot up to positive because all the review bombing chinese reviews have been censored unless chinese is your default language.

I changed my settings back to all languages right after that steam update or whatever that was. So its 50 for me out of 38xxx now.
I don't think Chinese review bomb every game, just this one, right? At least among the games I play it was a single occurrence.

Not exactly review bombing but its a common trend in steam that chinese gamers are just overly critical of everything. They are far less likely to give positive reviews unless they think a game is absolutely perfect. If a game runs poorly or has a feature or mechanic that inconveniences them they give it a negative review regardless. Japanese reviews are also similar but they are far far less compared to chinese reviews that they can't impact a game's overall score.

I have over 900 hours in the game and i say its mediocre at best. It does have great things, like being a sci-fi RPG with guns and ships for example, that allows free exploration and looting places.
I think one of the glaring issues the game has is that everything feels so static despite or even because of its scale, while at the same time they sold it as procedurally generated which created unrealistic expectations. The game simply does not grow with you and your actions in the universe.
Its as if they created the stage with all its props, but then forgot to deliver the play. And then all the demanding, arrogant or hostile NPCs would have made for some great social commentary if the game felt more rewarding by acknowledging your presence and actions.

900 hours = Mediocre

I wouldnt even put 1 hour on a mediocre game.
