I just had a 2v8 killer match after 23 minutes of waiting.

My teammate is Oni and I'm ghostface. The game wasn't going that great but I have fun playing this mode regardless as long as there's no cheater, which there weren't.

But my teammate stopped moving as soon as the generators were done. I know we're losing and probably no way turning it around (plus someone keep tbagging and taunting us.), but I just enjoy the chaotic of this mode. I don't know whether that Oni did it intentionally or not. I just thought this mode is made for fun and if he has things to do or just bad connection, I don't blame him. But if because losing, please, for your teammate's sake, at least try instead of giving up instantly.

I think plenty understand your point, but your point is moot. In current day Elite Dangerous, it is incredibly easy to make enough money to get you whatever non-locked ship you want within your first week of playing and fit it with A rated equipment. That is why ship trading is a non-issue. Helping new players is showing them the ropes that you learned to cut down their time and do things with the experience you already acquired. This is the design philosophy of the game. Some like it, some don't. There is no good or bad way about it. in Eve online you needed to spend actual real world time because training time was 1:1 to even get into some ships to begin with. You can only marginally start to speedrun this by spending silly amounts of money with a change from a few years ago and still get diminishing returns. In Eve online, you can sit in an Anaconda on the same day of you starting the game. With the money you made.

I understand the emotional aspect of "hand down the seasoned ship of a Veteran." I do. I really do.
I know of people who SELL a ship which gets destroyed (or rather don't do the rebuy), no matter how many Engineered modules it has, and rebuild it with a new incremental integer on the ship name / ID plaque.

The design philosophy of this game just doesn't agree, and there is nothing we can do about it. This is the character of the game, and people play either in spite or because of it.
