Bump!

Thought i had a pretty good grasp of the combat, kinda tired of perry/counter being in every game these days but whatever.

Been playing on normal difficulty, but when i got to the 2nd major boss, there is literally so much going on visually i can't tell when i am supposed to dodge, so i just end up spamming dodge in between healing. The other characters are spamming spells so often and half the time i can't tell if the spell is an enemy attack or what is going on since they learn new spells all the time.

Tried to back off and watch him closely, to see his tells and patterns like you would in other games, but the npcs are going nuts and the whole area is just full of flashing colors. Is it a skill issue or am i missing something vital? I did defeat him on the first attempt, but i used so many item's to do it it felt like i was playing the game wrong or something and it wasn't earned.

That island is often camped. If you don't want to engage then run when someone else comes and get back to the south-E PvE area and wait them out. Sucks, but that's the design of the game.

I mean, you'd THINK that. However, the other dozen or so people that came by before those in particular, I'd literally use voice chat and buzz by them. I'd just drop load after load on the ground for them to pick up and load the thopters with.

This is actually how this encounter began. I buzzed up to them, did an amazing buggy jank flip, politely greeted them and asked them if they wanted to load up. They specifically said 'no' and then came back with rockets. They'd pelt me with rockets, go land out of sight, put on thrusters, come back by and say they weren't the ones that shot at me, then run off, re mount the rockets and fire again.

It was only after I decided to leave the area did they follow me. They attempted to follow me into an open area and use collision to thump me with a worm. I was able to escape cause of the hilarious buggy jank (which is another reason I enjoy the buggy), and only when I made it back to the island did the rest of it begin. They attempted a second time to bump me into open sand, but I was able to stay near rocks.

What they did was cruelty. It was not pvp.
