I think its more likely they got a change in direction and the story was rewritten half way through. We might never know what exactly happened. From my perspective tho, it also involves Act 2. Given the prologue and Act 1 it doesnt make sense for Verso to be the MC during Act 2, or to be the one to have the camp interactions instead of Maelle.

I would argue the start of Act 2 and Verso becoming MC+Camp character is where the story starts breaking apart, albeit not (yet) to the extent it ruins the experience. The suspension of disbelief holds, but only because of how good the Prologue and Act 1 were and how good the gameplay, visuals and music still are in Act 2.

As ive argued before here, its interesting how the artistic side (painters) of the game holds up from start to finish. Whereas the story side (writers) becomes worse and worse untill eventually its either a rushed job or a novice job. Like the game was taking over by a plot from the writers or something.. :Musse:

I'm using Steam spear because it's got some range and is fast enough to get a poke in between attacks. Only R1s seem to be usable, everything else is too slow.

I don't even know how is that possible, the base stats of Steampowered Spear without upgrades or scaling are double that damage.
I did my (almost) entire first playtrough with that weapon, it's definitely inferior to the longsword but still not THAT bad.

The Game is finished. Release it and bring content and fix patches from time to time. Then it will have success. Otherwise noone will ever play it long

Hazaron I'm glad to finally see someone who, with arguments and knowledge of the subject, conclusively demonstrates how ignorant people are about game development and the difficulty of finishing them. They'll call you a fanboy, but you're the only one who has provided countless reasons for the ignorant to understand that this whole development process is a very difficult one, and kunos, a small company, is putting all its energy into bringing future customers a top-quality product.
I agree with everything you've argued in each of your posts. Sometimes it's just not worth it to respond to someone who might be impatient teenagers.
