Why vac banned

While playing CS: GO, I suddenly received a VAC ban. I didn't use any cheats or anything like that. I bought an elite membership, and after that, I got the VAC ban. What could be the reason? 1400 day

No. Any bans added to an account will remain regardless of who was using the account at the time the infraction occurred. Ultimately, the use and security of your Steam account are your responsibility.

The red text says "VAC ban". The "info" button has info about the ban and how it affects your account. That's why Valve put it there, so you can get the "info" you need without us having to copy and paste it here for you years after the ban was applied.

It does not matter. The ban has been checked, if not more than once by the system.

It was found to be correctly applied. <--------------------------

It will not be removed. <--------------------------

The items for the banned game are locked to your account permanently. <--------------------------

Read the support pages and please stop asking things that people have answered multiple times.

VAC bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support. If a VAC ban is determined to have been issued incorrectly it will automatically be removed.

No. VAC bans cannot be appealed. If a VAC ban is issued incorrectly it will be automatically removed after investigation, but Steam Support --->does not<--- manually remove VAC bans applied to accounts for any reason.

AMD's latest driver has made their "Anti-Lag/+" feature available for CS2, which is implemented by detouring engine dll functions.

If you are an AMD customer and play CS2, DO NOT ENABLE ANTI-LAG/+; any tampering with CS code will result in a VAC ban.

Once AMD ships an update we can do the work of identifying affected users and reversing their ban.

The official statement is my fault, what if I cheated, why should I get an elite account?

now this is just on the very first page. i kind of went through the following pages, but with the 1421 day old vacban, it looks like you are grabbing at whatever story you can, to make it look like you are innocent. Now Vacbans are for cheats, so it detected something what cause the ban, doesn't matter who used the account. The AMD problem was pretty much last year and it was fixed. your ban is almost 4 years old. as per vac rules, bans cannot be appealed or removed, valve will not give you any information what caused the ban, reason is that cheaters and cheat developers will use the information for their benefit. Also skinchangers is also seen as cheats and bans are delayed, and your story is already not making sense, first you say that you received the ban while playing then later you say you played with a cheater and the next day you received the ban. so already you starting to changing your story.

Now either A) you, yourself cheated, or B) someone played on your pc with cheats, or C) you played on someone else's PC what had cheats on it, irrelevant if you knew of the cheats or not, or D) someone on family sharing or linked via Cell number and the other account cheated and your received the ban as well, or E) your account was compromised and the person who had access to your profile cheated. So overall doesn't matter who used the account, the account was caught cheating. and like i also mentioned, bans cannot be appealed or removed by steam support or anyone on steam forums as there are pretty much majority of steam users on here.

And I can see that most of the other users have given you information regarding the ban

Just accept the vac ban and move on. If it’s that old it doesn’t matter what your excuse is, it will stay forever. If it bothers you that much just make a new account. Nobody here can help you.
