....plus, last time I used it you didn't even need Steam running...let alone any game.

I have used it for years. It only opens Gfc files... it doesn't even need Steam.

This is the dumbest queston ever.no but VAC can disallow joining servers with a message like
"VAC couldn't find correct files" or something but as long as your not deleting stuff in .vpk's you are fine.
