Reconsider Permanent VAC Bans
Reconsider permanent VAC bans. They are a disease to true Steam fans and those who would rather keep their account instead of moving on to another account to buy the same games over again as Valve suggests.

If a player was to cheat and then move on to another account, the only thing that player learns is "to pay more money to Valve to have a completely new identity" rather than taking the punishment and moving on from that.

The real issue is that players that commit these "crimes" are already subject to prejudice and cannot play on specific games on the SAME account ever again. Allow us the ability to continue to play these games after a set amount of time and only then make it a more permanent "ban" if they continue.

I'm not suggesting Valve removes the ban from Steam or the harmful tag put upon one's "profile". I'm merely asking Valve to reconsider the way your "VAC Bans" are managed. I will admit this is much easier for Valve to do already considering how much time it takes to eliminate people on a multi-billion dollar gaming service.

Keep in mind that I do admit to violating the rules wherein VAC makes sure to stop.
Prejudice is part of the punishment. Temporary doesn't carry the same pscyhological weight as permanant.

Valve will never change their stance on VAC bans, it brings in more money. There is no better punishment for players, they risk their identity as a player in the community when they cheat and get VAC banned.

Cheaters need to be banned for eternity.

Even their alternate accounts.

Too bad I'm not Valve's head. If I were in charge, once VAC banned bye bye in all accounts.

So, how did you cheat, Mr Bear? Care to share your cheating story and how VAC caught you red-handedly?

This is for the sake of honesty albeit the likelihood of you relishing the moment.

I used a client-side tool named that serves as an Aimbot and has the option to graph out a map of enemy and team players, among more options.

VAC caught me around a month after I had finished using the tool. The service (as I read) has the ability to catch changes to your client's code or what-not.

This is not an advert for the hack (for anyone who is reading this after the fact). Please do not make the same mistake.

Almost universally anti-cheat programs do permanent bans on accounts. There's little reason for VAC to deviate from what is basically the industry standard.

People already think VAC is 'run by the cheat makers' even with perma-bans. Temp bans would simply reinforce this incorrect perception.

I understand that. I just felt I should give my opinion on the subject.

I don't plan on anything I say or do will change this policy or my punishment in the matter. In the end just about everything has consequences.

Players who use cheats not have the slightest regard for honest players, only once they are caught they feel sorry and seek to be forgiven.but they dont thik in how many games they ruined, how many people afects,in my opinion the cheaters never be forgiven.
and about that red message on your profile you should appreciate it, because it has been won "fairly"

I understand your opinion albeit I do not agree with it. Just because others go ahead and "cheat" on a "VAC-Secured" game doesn't mean they do it with everything else.

When it comes to people "hurt" by "cheaters",(which I presume you label me) I would think the most weak minded come to seek forgiveness wheras I am here to proclaim my opinion on the subject of being restricted from services permanently despite the encouraged exploit of making another account to fill Valve's wallet.

What industry standard for anti-cheat? The one you just invented? Start listing anti-cheats, you're blowing smoke.

For the record vac probably caught you the first time youl used it. It's a delayed ban system afterall. And I'm sorry but frankly the punishment isn't even severe enough for the crime imo.
...And here we go again with a topic that has already been locked at LEAST three times in very recent memory...

Give it UP people. The horse is a freaking zombie by now.

I'd say VAC Bans should either be for the game inparticular, not ALL VAC games. Or a 3 year ban, then if caught again a permanat ban. I mean seriously... Sometimes the hack wasn't even used by the owner of the account. My husband downloaded a cheat and used it on CS:GO almost a year ago. I'm still pissed off at him. 3 year ban seems pretty logical to me. It's almost like getting points on your license, they don't go away for a long time. VAC Bans should go away after a long time as well. We keep our games on here, sometimes some people can't help it if their account gets hacked and hacked on or someone else used their account or if they just flat out used a hack. A 3 year ban would give any player enough time to think about what they did and what they risked on their account for them to not ever do it again, or to go do it on another account.

The real problem in your case is that you allowed another person to use YOUR Steam account, which violates the SSA. Why did he not have his own Steam account?
