Didn't cheat, Accidentally ran Cheat engine.

So I know that may sound like bs but hear me out here:
I had cheat engine open for games on Bluestacks (mobile games ported onto pc) and at the time I had tf2 open so when I went to click Bluestacks I fat fingered tf2 (I was not in a match, I was on the main menu.) and the anti cheat immediately detected it and banned me.
I've had this ban for months now and it's stopped me from trading, playing one of my favorite games and made me make 2 separate alts now. Please remove it from my account Valve.

VAC bans come from the detection of a known cheat and nothing else, whether it is used on the account itself or some sort of sharing has occurred (account, library, or phone number). Keep in mind anything that modifies the game files is considered a cheat.

VAC bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support or by anyone on this forum.

This is NOT an appeal forum, nor can you appeal VAC bans. All VAC bans are verified so if it was a mistake it would have been remove over a year ago.

Cheat Engine only causes a VAC ban when it is used to cheat on a VAC enabled game, in a VAC secured server.

Leaving it open causes a VAC error.

Only leaving it open doesnt get you banned, but if you try to inject into the game via cheat engine...

Then go on format your Hard drive so ALL traces of cheat software are gone and create a new account. The ban on your current Account is correct and permanent.

Beause it is.
We do know how Cheat Engine works. Just having it running does not cause a VAC ban.
You'd have to inject code into the game. Which does not happen automatically. You must do it yourself. So, either you are lying, or remembering horribly wrong.

you attached cheat software to a VAC protected game, and that's why you have a VAC ban.

What typically causes this error?

There are a number of common software conflicts that can cause this error. If you are running any of the following software, please disable it while playing:

CCleaner
Powershell
Cheat Engine <-------------------------------
IObit Start Menu 8
DLL Injectors
Hypervisors
Steam Idlers

Simply open in the background, CE causes a disconnect error, not a ban. No connection to a VAC server, means no VAC ban.

Also, given the fact that that ban is over 2 years old, it is in no way a mistake or error.
