Played CSGO for years, now cant play due to random VAC issue (not a ban)

Played 2 games today and now while playing the third one, vac is going crazy, for the first time ever!

I cant join even custom servers that employ VAC. Instead, I get the same message about some connectivity issue.

What is happening?! Anyone got any pointers? Personally, I'd blame gaben!

P.S. Windows FW is turned off. Default NAT config at router. No network issues either.

@Harald Range - Have you went through the support article listed there on the message? An issue with your computer is blocking the VAC system. You cannot play on secure servers.

yes. also, nothing CHANGED in the last couple of months, so i dont get why i get this rather random error now!

Post a screenshot of your installed programs.
Hook an ethernet cable directly up to your modem and make sure no other devices are connected to it if that applies here.

as for everything installed: gimme a minute.

Also: My internet is stable. No disconnects, connection or bandwidth issues in the past months. Internet was also still working flawlessly without any latency or congestion spikes and whatnot when the error popped up. So yeah, its definitely not my internet. Additionally, my home has a good and straight infrastructure, quality switches and good cables throughout. modem+router is hooked up straight to the internet, nothing wrong here either

as for everything installed: nope. not gonna happen. either way, i didnt install anything new either for about 4 weeks now, so that cant be it either.

Means absolutely nothing at all. Troubleshooting takes an "out of the box" type of mindset and using a step by step process of elimination in a methodical manner.

If you don't want help, then why make a therad here about this ?

First one I see as a problem...qBittorrent. Get rid of it.

qBitTorrent is not running and has no torrents added either. Nor does it come with a background service or anything along those lines. additionally, why would things get funky now? Nor does the error message match whatever bittorrent might cause...

STOP asking why and when and focus on a step by step process of elimination. READ this, please.

If the issue persists, please try disabling or temporarily uninstalling the program to test the issue.

I don't mean to sound rude here at all, but the next time you question any suggestion I make here without a good reason, I am personally going to be done in trying to help you. Disabled is NOT the same as uninstalled.

again: The software was on my system for months, if not years. rarely used, but still, on there. it wasnt running when it happened. it has no services running in the background. I uninstalled it for now and pray its not gonna happen again.

Also, just because its on that article, doesnt mean its all bad. man, if all that software would REALLY cause issues with steam, steam would be a dead!

As my system remains unchanged and worked flawlessly for 2 matches today, I doubt im at fault here. The error message is also very unspecific. like why couldnt it connect? connection refused? port in use? couldnt find host? its a mystery.

You have no idea how wrong you may be here with problematic software conflicting with other software. SOLUTION....Decide which software you want to function properly and REMOVE the other software.....problem solved. That is in the case of software being the issue, at least.

Hardware is the next step here. There are knowns and unknowns in troubleshooting. We have a KNOWN here and it is this torrent program. WHAT is the big deal with uninstalling one little program to test this issue in a step by step process ?

played again and it happened again. without qbittorrent being installed!

also, im a programmer and it specialist. im pretty darn handy with computers
