Does VR driver Vorpx trigger a VAC ban?
As title says, would appreciate any information on this before I try it with CS GO.

CS:GO does not support VR.

The following will not trigger a VAC ban:

Using chat programs like X-Fire or Overwolf
System hardware configurations
Updated system drivers, such as video card drivers <-------------------------------

But also note the first post, stating that CSGO does not support VR anyway.

Thank you guys for your responses, I would be using regular mouse and keyboard and vorpx would be creating the vr stuff somehow hooking into the game. This would give the effect of a big screen and some immersion, while maintaining the traditional game mechanics for controls.

Vorpx hooks into DirectX9-11 system dlls (d3d9.dll, d3d10.dll, d3d11.dll) in games directory as its developer says here: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/1nl7sv/i_cant_get_vorpx_to_work_with_anything/ccjqjzk/

Vorpx is also reportedly whitelisted by EAC (Easy anti-cheat) and some people have claimed that it may also be whitelisted by VAC. There was somebody who said that they had been banned at first for using Vorpx but then the system revised the ban and removed it automatically. My question is whether this legitimate piece of software that does does not give any advantages to a player is whitelisted by VAC. I understand that the VAC people do not give any indication on what cheating software triggers bans but it would be very useful to know whether Vorpx (a non-cheat program) is whitelisted or not.

I will maybe send an email to the VAC team as well if anybody has any information on how to reach them (apart from regular steam support).

status command in console gives you some information about the server you're currently playing on. An interesting fact I noticed is that most if not all of the official Valve servers are running on Linux, while a server running on Windows would usually mean it was started on user's computer. It is what I learnt from issuing a status command on L4D2 servers. It also shows VAC security status of the server.

If you want to prevent yourself from accidently joining a VAC-secured server, you should start Valve games with -insecure boot option, which both disables VAC(I'm not too sure about this one claim of mine) and disables you from connecting VAC-secured servers.
