How does the steam anti cheat system work

My friend recently got his account banned and all his alts banned without even putting in a number, can this be because of the change account option, also please dont cheat in cs2 the anti cheat is ♥♥♥♥

If a cheat developer or a cheater, was banned instantly that would tip them off that whatever they were using is detectable. They would then go back to the cheat author and say hey this got detected. The cheat developer would then update the cheat.

This would continue until any cheat was undetectable because it would be updated almost constantly.

Anyone who is against cheating would know that this is a terrible idea and would never suggest this.


You have no idea how VAC or VACnet works. So I would be careful what you call a joke. The only thing that needs to be under control is your ego.

Steam accounts are free, that is why you're allowed to create as many as you want.

How do you want the cheat developer to continue to try out their cheats if they are banned as a person ? ..

LOL ..you dont give a cheat developer any chance of that, when you cannot come back & try again, if you are banned as a person, it will really be very very hard, so hard that you wont even dare to try cheat in the game !

Ps. Steam accounts can still be free, but to make sure people dont cheat on the account, Valve should demand personal info !

Valve know who you are if you buy your games with the credit card !

All accounts on steam that want to play multiplayer games needs a creditcard credential attached to the account with name, adress and phone number .. then lets see how many cheaters there is in the game after that !

I'll chime in one last time. Are you paying attention? What part of this is a user forum do you not understand? Valve doesn't read these forums nor would they take such a suggestion? Why? Because it would only make the cheating problem worse and if you weren't so worried about trying to be right, you would realize this.

I mean it's common sense, it's exactly why the ban is delayed because that way the person never knows when it was detected or what was detected.

But no, if not sharing any phone numbers at the time of the infraction or sharing a library with another that cheats, your other account will not be banned if there is no such link.
