Just got a VAC ban and never cheated

Hey everyone,
Another person chiming in to have been presumably VAC banned without any cheating. I just got my account of 17 years VAC banned off CS2. I have never installed cheat software or compromised the integrity of my Steam account. Ive owned CSGO since 2012 and have heard that VAC is incorrectly banning people in CS2 since pretty much launch. I dont know if my account was mass reported or if some of the 3rd party MSI software on my PC triggered this but I am really upset as I have never had my account compromised with a VAC ban before. A few days ago there was a Russian hacker who minimized my game while I was playing and was using a variety of cheats. I know that isnt common to see in CS2 but the attack on my system is rare. Ive reset my PC multiple times since then but my game was closing saying "please launch with Steam" and a few other game crashes today. I know nobody is going to care, but I would never cheat(especially now) and my virus/malware scanners didnt pick anything up. Really upset with this broken Anti-cheat.

To be clear you dont have a vac ban. Mas reports also have NOTHING to do with your ban.

I didnt get caught by anything. As the 1st poster mentioned. I didnt get a VAC ban I got a game ban from Overwatch(CS2 anti-cheat). Which is notoriously broken and has even banned some pro players. It even states in my ban that it is not a VAC ban. So I dont know what is going on with this game.

afaik OW got disabled in cs2 right away from its release

I just looked into the details of the ban as well which states:
"Behavior by your account generated reports by fellow players. Overwatch investigators then viewed the gameplay footage and determined that external software was used to gain aim, vision, or other unfair assistance and that a permanent ban was appropriate."

So I do indeed think it is highly likely that mass reporting can result in a ban. To be clear this is a permanent ban so its pretty serious that these banwaves are effecting innocent players. CS2 has had a rough time with anti-cheat working correctly if at all. This should seriously be looked at, as I only played in Casual and never used the boot options on Steam that got other players banned.

Exactly. So how did my account get flagged from Overwatch? Its not been properly implemented into CS2 since launch. Ive seen players afraid to play for this very reason and others banned for using boot options that were common in CSGO.

There is no way that people can minimize your screen
Either you gave them remote acess or you downloaded some shady things from the internet (e.g. cheats, software,...) and downloaded some viruses too.
Something like this is your own fault and at your own risk. Yes people got banned for Anti-Lag+ from AMD etc but as far as I know nearly everybody got unbanned (fried of me got unbanned because of this issue aswell).
Edit: People should be fair to themselves and stick to the situation that they cheated or installed software with viruses or lost their account due to downloading software with keyloggers etc, into them. But as said, its your own fault then.

I guess its impossible for people to run a script to take other players names and autotoggle into spectator mode like ive seen in CSGO. Just look at how many threads there are about cheaters in this game. And because I state my innocence. Now all of a sudden there is "no way" that they could possibly do those things. Ive been playing CS since 1.4. I have seen every cheat you can think of in this game. It gets through so dont kid yourself.

Ironically I was just doing the "High DPI Rotation" in the match I got banned. I was spam firing my Negev in circles rapidly during the prep round. And then after Round 2 I got permabanned. I didnt want to add that here since the circus is in session and most people wouldnt believe me despite this happening MULTIPLE times in CS past.

thanks for confirming that you're full of bs, because VAC bans are not instant.
you are just bringing excuses, you cheated and got banned. well deserved.

VAC bans take 1-7 days to appear on account. if you cheat, your account gets flagged and then 1-7 days later VAC ban is applied on account, so i know you're full of bs.

Spamming negev in prep phase is griefing now? Like I said. Circus is in town.
