Every time something is found out to possibly cause a falsely applied ban, the community will latch onto it as their new excuse.
Absolutly and this time the excuse isnt technicly valid either , alot of these ppl claim they impersenated a spinbotter for the lols of it.
Skipping over the fact valve stated themselves that
"players should not enter a match with the intention of losing or disrupting their teammates."
Its clearly disrupting a game if your trying to look like a spinbotter.
and Valve also states in the guidelines :
"Failure to play following these guidelines may result in various penalties, including cooldowns, communication restrictions, and Game Bans."
Not that im buying the stories but the excuse itself is a pointless one.
False bans are real, even false game bans exist. They are just extreme rare.
From my understanding, typically only individuals who are very unsuccessful in real life resort to cheating in video games, as victories, albeit unfair, allow them to compensate for their lack of achievements and dull life in reality. However, if you can afford a video game inventory worth $50k like OP, you are most likely a highly educated and successful individual, living a dream life. Whyyyy? What is the point of cheating in that case? I just can't get my head around it.
The problem is many legitimately banned users leech off of situations like this in a shameful attempt to get unbanned when they know their ban is unrelated and correct.
All you can do is worry about your own ban and await until the situation is resolved.
